"Small and cosy place. Not a lot of room in the front part, which creates the cosy atmosphere. Food is decent and the beer is great, as expected. Leave some room for the Kaiserschmarn - it is good and definitely worth the try!"

"This place rocks! Excellent food for its value. After searching for some authentic food we had bad luck getting reservations; my wife and I decided.. okay we will try one more German Cuisine place or move on to other fare. We met with the server up front; without a reservation, hoping for the best. He squeezed us in and looked like he was running the whole dining room solo. Fast, friendly and courteous. He gave us fantastic hospitality , never disappearing for more than a few minutes while doing bar work or side work … he was Superman. The Chefs in back also deserve love. We enjoyed excellent pork , red cabbage, potatoes… everything"

"A rather quiet and pleasant Saturday afternoon. The pork knuckle was crispy and easy to handle. Very good! Next time I'll just have black bread with it (the meat is 2 pounds!) The friendly lady suggested wrapping everything. Good idea to offer that! The Bavarian cabbage was good with lots of caraway, which I rather enjoy. I can also recommend the Williams Christ pear brandy for digestion. And the Edelstoff beer is delicious. Last but not least, the espresso was surprisingly good."

"Nice Augustiner brewery restaurant located in the beautiful Dutch quarter of Potsdam. Good Bavarian beer and food. I tried pork cheeks and black pudding and everything was delicious. Recommend visiting."

"We went to Potsdam for an afternoon change of scenery, and since we were hungry we started looking for a place for a decent lunch. After checking out a few restaurants, all were rather disappointing (weird smells, no tables or only outside in the cold or just not open) we came upon Augustiner Potsdam. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. I had the Haxen burger (chopped Schweinshaxe with caramelized onions on a nice bun, with fries and sauerkraut) while my wife had a potato chowder and after a yummy dessert. For the burger it is not a used your hands sort, you must use the provided knife and forks. The food was excellent, and well worth it. Unfortunately the table near us had a rather loud patron and thus the 4 stars for atmosphere. Will def go back when my dad visits us and we make it a day on the other side of Berlin. Highly recommend. Parking can be something of a challenge, if you are just visiting for the day I would recommend using the nearby car park"
